<Poem>
瑤池阿母綺窗開，
黃竹歌聲動地哀。
八駿日行三萬里，
穆王何事不重來。
<End Poem>
<Translation>
The Queen opened up her fluted window
on to Precious Jade Lake;
Hearing his ‘Song of Yellow Bamboo’
the earth had been moved with grief,
And with eight fine steeds he could travel
ten thousand miles a day –
So what was keeping King Mu,
that he didn’t come back to her?
